Self glossary — Memory, Life, Mind, Voice

Plain words for the personal layer: what each box stores and what it does not.

Before you start

  • No account required to read; sign-in needed to use the features.

Steps

  1. 1

Self — personal AI: persona (who you are), Companion chat, morning brief, Compose in your voice.

  2. 2

Memory — one Pro/Trial search across notes, Mind sources, email, Persona Graph, and life episodes. Not screen recording.

  3. 3

Life — opt-in personal Mind notebook auto-built from notes and dictation; feeds Companion citations.

  4. 4

Mind — research notebooks (upload sources, RAG chat, Studio). Separate from Life unless you choose otherwise.

  5. 5

Voice Library — durable audio + transcript archive. Adjacent to Memory; not the same search index.

  6. 6

Persona Graph — people/projects map. Full edit on Hub and Mac; phones and Windows are read-only by design.

  7. 7

Live / CoPilot — Mac beta shortcuts; not promised on every OS yet.

Common mistakes

  • Privacy toggles live in Settings → FlyType Self and Privacy (cloud sync, Life, email→graph, training opt-out).
  • Export or wipe Self data anytime from the privacy center.
