Studio async generate queue
Long Studio jobs run in the background — chat stays open while briefing, audio, or slides generate.
Before you start
- Notebook with at least one Ready source.
- Hub or desktop Mind with Studio panel visible.
Steps
- 1
Open Mind → pick a notebook → Studio column on the right.
- 2
Choose an artifact type (Briefing, Audio overview, Slides, etc.) and click Generate.
- 3
Heavy jobs enqueue on the server — a progress dock appears at the bottom of the Studio column (queued → running → done).
- 4
Keep chatting in the center column; Studio busy state does not block the composer.
- 5
Watch the percent bar; use Cancel to stop a queued or running job if you picked the wrong template.
- 6
When the job finishes, the artifact opens in Studio — regenerate after adding sources if content looks stale.
Common mistakes
- If you navigate away, reopen the same notebook — the dock resumes polling until the job completes or fails.
- Async queue is the default on Hub; mobile clients show the same job status when online.
- Failed jobs show an error in Studio — fix source health, then try Generate again.
