Mind notebook covers
Every notebook gets a recognizable cover — gradient stub instantly, optional AI semantic art by plan quota.
Before you start
- Signed in to Hub with at least one Mind notebook.
Steps
- 1
Open Mind → library grid (Hub, Mac, iOS, Android, or Windows).
- 2
New notebooks show a stub cover: emoji + gradient derived from the title — no API key required.
- 3
When sources finish indexing, the cover may upgrade to a semantic AI image (WebP) that reflects notebook topics.
- 4
Long-press or right-click a cover on mobile/desktop for Regenerate, Upload photo, or Reset to emoji (see related articles).
- 5
Editors can upload a photo cover (JPEG/PNG/WebP/GIF, max 4 MB) from Hub settings or the cover menu on Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android.
- 6
Team notebooks inherit the same cover pipeline — viewers see covers but cannot spend your personal AI quota.
Common mistakes
- Stub covers always work offline and on Free plans — AI covers respect monthly quota (Free 3, Pro 30).
- If cover generation fails, the card keeps the last good image or falls back to stub — check source health first.
