How to read Mind citations
Citation chips prove where an answer came from — jump to the passage, see a highlight, or copy the quote when the PDF has no text layer.
Before you start
- Signed in on Hub (hub.flytype.ru/mind).
- Notebook with at least one Ready source.
Steps

Open Mind → your notebook → Chat and ask a question grounded in your sources.

When the answer finishes streaming, look for numbered citation chips (for example [1]) next to claims.

Click a chip (or Open in Sources) to jump: the Sources preview opens and scrolls to the matching passage.

On text sources, the quote is highlighted. If the file is a scanned PDF or image without a text layer, a soft banner shows the quote so you can verify or Save highlight manually.

In Studio, flashcards and quizzes remember Got it / Missed between sessions; use Show prompt on an artifact to see the instructions that generated it, then Regenerate for a new version.
Common mistakes
- No chips usually means the model could not ground the claim — add Ready sources, reprocess failed ones, or narrow the question.
- PDF highlight needs an extractable text layer; scanned pages stay soft-manual by design.
- Editing a research report or briefing after generation may show a soft warning if citation markers were removed — verify before trusting the edit.
- Deep / Overview chat modes retrieve more chunks so long notebooks stay grounded.
- A timeout banner is a network/idle limit, not missing sources — retry after Ready; the app retries once before streaming starts.
