Folder vs Archive vs Delete
Folders organize active notebooks; Archive soft-hides them; Delete removes the notebook.
Before you start
- Signed in on Hub Mind library.
Steps
- 1
Folder — a shelf for active notebooks (Work, Study…). Move notebooks between folders; counts skip archived items.
- 2
Archive — card menu → Archive. The notebook leaves All / Mine / folders and appears on the Archived tab. Sources stay; chat still opens.
- 3
Unarchive — Archived tab → Unarchive. The notebook returns to its previous folder when that folder still exists; otherwise it is unfiled.
- 4
Delete — permanent soft-delete after confirm. Prefer Archive when you may need the notebook later.
- 5
Archived card menu is reduced: Open · Unarchive · Delete — no Move / Pin / Duplicate.
Common mistakes
- Archive ≠ folder theme target — do not drag notebooks onto Archive as if it were a folder.
- Deleting a folder unfiles its notebooks; archived notebooks already excluded from folder counts.
