Organize notebooks with folders

Group active notebooks into folders (depth ≤ 2). Hub, Mac, and Windows support drag-and-drop; iOS/Android use Move.

Before you start

  • Signed in to Mind library (Hub or app).

Steps

  1. 1

On Hub, Mac, or Windows Mind library, create a folder from the folder strip (Work, Study…). Nested folders are limited to depth 2.

  2. 2

Move a notebook: card menu → Move…, or drag the card onto a folder chip (Hub, Mac, Windows).

  3. 3

Unfile: Move → No folder / root, or drag onto All on Hub/Mac/Windows.

  4. 4

On iOS and Android use Move (or equivalent) — folder DnD is desktop in 1.x.

  5. 5

Delete a folder soft-deletes it and unfiles its notebooks; Archive is a separate shelf, not a folder.

Common mistakes

  • Folder counts skip archived notebooks.
  • Change a folder background via ⋮ → Change background (theme pack ~100).
  • Do not treat Archive as a drop target for organizing.
