Capture and Send-to across FlyType

How dictation, Meetings, Voice, Clipboard, and Automations hand off text and audio without inventing new menu labels.

Before you start

  • Signed in on Hub or a desktop/mobile client.

Steps

  1. 1

Dictation in-app insert — while Mind, Notes, or Self is focused, release the hotkey to insert into that surface (toast/affordance). External apps still use paste; Cursor SKIP ≠ FAIL on the paste matrix.

  2. 2

Meetings → Mind — on a meeting detail, choose Save to Mind. The notebook source keeps lineage (meeting id/badge) so you can jump back from Mind.

  3. 3

Voice → Mind — from Voice Library, Send to Mind / preview chip picks a notebook and adds the recording as a source (Mac/Hub first; mobile soft).

  4. 4

Clipboard — history lives in the desktop/mobile app (Translate, Classify, Save to Notes, Send to Mind). Hub shows an honesty banner + Open in app / download — there is no Hub clipboard CRUD library.

  5. 5

Orchestration allowlist — Automations packs stay closed: empty allowlist means explicit deny. Preview before spend; Windows tray chip and Hub Automations share the same contract.

Common mistakes

  • Mobile Mind/Self/Notes soft mic + toast: /help/dictation/in-app-insert.
  • Canonical labels: Save to Mind · Save highlight · Route to Life · Open in Notes · Open in app — do not invent synonyms per section.
  • Research Report on mobile may open Hub Mind with ?studio=research_report when native generate is soft.
  • Help for Automations detail: /help/hub/automations · Clipboard basics: /help/clipboard/basics · Save to Mind: /help/mind/save-to-mind.
