Before you start

  • Clipboard enabled in Settings (desktop) or app in foreground (mobile).

Steps

  1. 1

    Copy text in any app — FlyType saves it to Clipboard library (password managers can be excluded).

  2. 2

    Open Clipboard from menu (Mac/Win) or Clipboard tab — search full text.

  3. 3

    Actions: Translate to your UI language, AI Classify into collections, Save to Notes, Send to Mind.

  4. 4

    Insert: pick an entry → Insert — FlyType pastes into the focused field (Accessibility on Mac).

  5. 5

    Pin important clips; set retention (7–90 days) in Settings → Privacy.

Common mistakes

  • iOS/Android capture best when FlyType was recently open — background limits apply.
  • Exclude 1Password/Bitwarden in Settings if you copy passwords often.
