Voice Library vs live dictation
Hub Voice is a synced library of saved clips — not the live dictation HUD that pastes into other apps.
Before you start
- Signed in on Hub (or a desktop/mobile client that syncs Voice notes).
Steps

Open Hub → Voice (or Voice Library on clients). You see saved recordings with transcripts, duration, and sync state.

Play, rename, merge, or delete clips here. Changes sync to other devices when online.

Live dictation (paste into Slack, Cursor, Word…) runs on Mac/Windows with the hold-to-talk hotkey and HUD — that path does not start from this Hub player.

Quick voice notes from the desktop hotkey land in Notes Inbox and/or Voice Library depending on client settings — check Settings → Shortcuts / Voice.

For first-time install of desktop apps, use Hub → Download; Voice Library alone does not install the dictation engine.
Common mistakes
- If you expected text to appear in another app, use the desktop dictation hotkey — Hub Voice only replays saved clips.
- Insights → Voice Profile is about writing style after many words — unrelated to this clip library.
- Empty library: record a voice note on a client, or import if your build supports it, then refresh Hub.
