Android keyboard (IME)

FlyType input method for dictation in any app.

Before you start

  • Android 8+, FlyType APK installed.

Steps

  1. 1

    Settings → System → Languages → On-screen keyboard → enable FlyType.

  2. 2

    Open any app, tap text field, switch keyboard to FlyType.

  3. 3

    Tap microphone on keyboard bar — speak — text inserts at cursor.

  4. 4

    Voice note widget on home screen opens FlyType capture directly.

  5. 5

    Allow microphone and disable battery restrictions for reliable background sync.

Common mistakes

  • Sideload APK from Hub /download if Play listing not yet public.
  • IME alpha — report issues from Settings → How to use → Troubleshooting.
