Knowledge tools in Notes
Hybrid ⌘K search, wiki links, synced templates, and AI changes you approve before they touch a draft.
Before you start
- Signed in with Notes open on Mac or Hub.
Steps
- 1
On Mac press ⌘K. Normal search shows local Notes; type mind: followed by a query to opt into live Mind search.
- 2
Every command-palette result shows its provenance: local Notes, Calendar, or Mind plus notebook.
- 3
Type [[ followed by a note title and choose a suggestion to insert a wiki link.
- 4
Choose Meeting, Idea, or Report + table from Templates. Account templates sync through Preferences; applying changes only the draft.
- 5
Choose Structure typed draft or Structure voice draft. Compare Before and After, then Apply or dismiss. Save remains a separate explicit action.
Common mistakes
- Mind search is optional and read-only; if it is unavailable, local Notes results still work.
- AI never silently rewrites the note body. No Apply means no draft change; no Save means no Notes sync change.
- Templates are text-only and bounded; media attachments remain in the existing Notes model.
