Comfort Edit in Notes
Write or dictate in one editor, then add photos, tables, charts, callouts, and triage the result in Work Desk.
Before you start
- Signed in with Notes open on Mac or Hub.
Steps

Open a note in Edit mode (Mac Notes window or Hub → Notes). Voice captures open the same Comfort editor.

Use the Format toolbar for Heading 1–3, bold, italic, bullet list, checklist, and link (Mac also has ⌘B / ⌘I / ⌘⌥1–3).

Keep Split preview on by default to see a live rendered pane beside Markdown source; switch to Raw Markdown when you need the escape hatch.

Add a photo from the media button or drag/paste it on Mac; the image stays in the note body and appears in Split/Preview.

Insert a table from the toolbar or /table and edit its GFM cells. Use Chart for bar, line, or pie data; Callout adds info, tip, or warning blocks.

Type / on a new line to open the insert palette — filter with the keyboard, ↑↓ to move, Enter to insert, Esc to dismiss.

Open Work inside Notes to triage Inbox items to Work, Personal, or Archive and use open-tasks, today, and voice-today pins.

On Hub, the same toolbar, media blocks, Work Desk, and split layout apply; the layout choice stays in this browser.
Common mistakes
- Typed and voice notes share one chrome — there is no separate raw voice editor.
- Charts are FlyType blocks; tables also have a readable GFM fallback.
- AI structure always shows Before and After and changes the draft only after Apply.
