Team vs personal Self memory
On team plans, Personal Memory and Companion stay private per member — team admins cannot browse teammates' Self data.
Before you start
- Signed in on a team or enterprise plan.
Steps
- 1
Hub → Self shows a boundary note when you belong to a team workspace.
- 2
Personal Memory search, Persona Graph, Life notebook, and Companion threads are stored under your user id only.
- 3
Team admin (/team/admin) can manage seats, shared team Mind notebooks, snippets, and audit team Mind chat — not personal Self memory.
- 4
Team Notes and team Mind notebooks are shared by design; Self memory is not merged into team search.
- 5
Members can still opt into Life notebook and email→graph on their own account — admins do not get a backdoor view.
- 6
Export or delete personal Self data from Settings → Privacy (GDPR) — independent of team retention on shared notebooks.
Common mistakes
- Admins see aggregate Insights leaderboard metrics — not raw Companion transcripts.
- If you need a shared knowledge base, use team Mind notebooks instead of asking members to paste into Self.
- Contact support for enterprise DPA questions — personal Self isolation is enforced in API auth, not just UI.
