Sign in with browser and linked devices

Link Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android to one Hub account using browser sign-in — desktop returns automatically; mobile uses the system browser.

Before you start

  • A FlyType Hub account (email, SSO, or passkey).

Steps

  1. 1

Mac or Windows: FlyType → Sign in → Sign in with browser. The app opens Hub `/device?code=…` — if you are already signed in to Hub, linking finishes automatically (no typing).

  2. 2

Desktop loopback: after approve, FlyType receives tokens automatically. Poll + SSE are fallbacks if loopback is blocked.

  3. 3

iOS / Android: Sign in with browser opens the system browser / Custom Tabs with the same complete link.

  4. 4

Hub → Settings → Security → Devices lists every linked client. Revoke a row to sign out that device only.

  5. 5

Sessions refresh ~5 minutes before access expiry. Invalid refresh signs you out — sign in again.

  6. 6

Manual code entry on `/device` is only a fallback if the browser did not open with `?code=` — start again from the app when possible.

Common mistakes

  • Hub signed in ≠ app signed in until Path A (or Path B Confirm) finishes — two vaults by design.
  • After Hub shows Linked: close the tab and switch back to FlyType — sign-in finishes in a few seconds.
  • Already in Hub on this computer? Use Hub `/link` → Confirm on the desktop (Path B) instead of typing a code.
  • Use the same Hub region (.ru vs .net) as Settings → API URL on the client.
  • Lost a laptop? Revoke its device in Hub Security before it comes back online.
  • New-device emails include approximate country/IP — revoke in Security → Devices if it was not you.
