Ideas and voting on Hub

Suggest features, vote or follow ideas, and get status updates on the public feedback board.

Before you start

  • A FlyType account (free is enough to vote, follow, and comment).
  • Feedback board enabled on the API (FEEDBACK_BOARD_ENABLED).

Steps

  1. 1

Open Hub → Ideas (or /feedback). Browse ideas sorted by votes or newest.

  2. 2

Sign in, then tap the vote arrow on an idea you care about. One vote per account; tap again to remove. Voting also follows the idea for status emails.

  3. 3

Or tap Follow without voting — you get status emails without adding a vote. Use My ideas / My votes / Following chips to filter your board.

  4. 4

Submit an idea: short title (8+ characters), optional details, and a category (Dictation, Mind, Mobile, …).

  5. 5

Open comments on an idea to discuss use cases. Keep comments constructive — spam is rate-limited.

  6. 6

When status changes (planned → in progress → shipped), voters and followers may get an email if Resend is configured. Expand an idea to see its status history.

  7. 7

If an idea was merged into another, open the banner link to the surviving post.

  8. 8

Team roadmap (/roadmap) is the engineering plan; Ideas is what users ask for. Linked days appear when admins connect them.

Common mistakes

  • Search before posting — duplicates get merged and votes move to the surviving idea.
  • Votes guide priority; they do not promise a ship date (see the disclaimer on the board).
  • Admins: /settings/feedback to change status, link a PlanProject2 day, or merge duplicates. Declining requires a public reason.
