Short thoughts stay in Notes with a transcript preview; meetings and long talks belong in Meetings — with a two-way Hub bridge: Save summary to Notes, Open as meeting, and related chips.

Choose Notes for everyday thoughts, typed drafts, checklists, PDFs, and short voice notes — Hub primary nav → Notes.

Choose Meetings for calls, lectures, and long recordings that need speakers, summary, and Ask — Hub → Meetings (not a second Plaud inside Notes).

Voice in Notes: speak with the voice-note hotkey or Record note → a transcript preview appears (notes-voice-transcript-preview) → edit a word → Confirm to save to Inbox, or Cancel / Retry.

Hub Notes shows sync chrome (notes-sync-status): queued, syncing, error, or ok — so voice→note does not vanish silently.

Long voice in Notes may show «Looks like a meeting» → open Meetings (early hint). On Hub Notes, use «Open as meeting» (note-open-as-meeting) to create a meeting from the note — Mac Notes has the same thin handoff.

After a ready meeting on Hub: «Save summary to Notes» (meeting-save-to-notes) writes the outcome into Notes Inbox (folder / Work Desk picker still soft). The note keeps a link back to the meeting.

Related chips (notes-meetings-bridge): open a meeting → «Related notes»; open the linked note → «Related meeting» — jump both ways without copy-paste.

- Law: short thought → Notes; meeting/protocol → Meetings; bridges between them — not one merged screen.
- Voice preview markers: notes-voice-transcript-preview on Mac / Windows / iOS / Android; Hub sync: notes-sync-status.
- Bridge markers: meeting-save-to-notes · note-open-as-meeting · notes-meetings-bridge (Hub; Mac thin Open as meeting). Win/mobile CTA parity is still soft.
- Work Desk triage (Inbox → Work / Personal) lives in Notes; meeting tasks stay in Meetings until you save an outcome into Notes.
- Discover chips (lock, Scripts, confirm-diff) use notes-everyday-discover* — Scripts packs are still edited on Hub Automations.
